Opportunity Zone fund tracker

Private funds raising money for Opportunity Zone projects, as filed with the SEC. Each fund is listed with where it is based, how much it set out to raise and how much it reports selling so far. A new round of Opportunity Zone designations takes effect on January 1, 2027, so expect this list to move.

Is an address in an Opportunity Zone?

Type a street address, including the city and state or ZIP. We find its census tract and check it against the designated zones.

This checks the zones in effect today, designated in 2018. A new round of zones takes effect on January 1, 2027, and a site in a zone today may not be in one then; we will add the new map once the final list is published. The address is placed by the Census Bureau's geocoder, which can put a property near a tract boundary on the wrong side, so confirm with your own adviser before relying on it. Not tax or investment advice. Sources: CDFI Fund, designated Qualified Opportunity Zones; U.S. Census Bureau geocoder.

How this list is made

  • Every private fund that sells to investors under Regulation D files a Form D with the SEC. Form D has no Opportunity Zone box, so a fund is listed here when its legal name says it is one: "Opportunity Zone", "Qualified Opportunity Fund", QOF, QOZB or OZ. Most do, because that is what investors search for. A fund that leaves it out of its name is not on this list.
  • Each fund appears once, using its most recent filing; an amendment replaces the original.
  • "Based in" is the fund's own address on the filing, not where its project is. Form D does not say where the money will be invested.
  • "Seeking" is the total offering amount the fund reported. 24 funds left it indefinite and count toward the fund total but not the dollar totals. "Sold so far" is as reported at the last filing.
  • Being listed here means a fund filed a notice with the SEC. It says nothing about whether the fund, its projects or its tax treatment are sound, and it is not tax or investment advice. Talk to your own adviser.
