RealInsightHQ
Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 August 2026.
This policy covers two different groups of people, and the distinction matters: people who use RealInsightHQ, and people who appear in the public filings we publish. The second group did not choose to be here, so their section says plainly what we hold and how to get it corrected or removed.
If you use RealInsightHQ
What we collect. Your name, email and password hash when you register. Your organisation name and plan. Billing details, which are held by Stripe and never touch our servers — we store only a customer reference and the subscription status. Usage analytics (pages viewed, searches run, exports taken), which we keep in our own database rather than sending to a third-party analytics service. Standard server logs including IP address.
Why. To run your account, bill you, send the emails you asked for, decide what your plan entitles you to, and understand which parts of the product are actually used.
Email. Product and billing email comes with the account. Marketing email is separate, and every marketing message has a one-click unsubscribe that we honour immediately.
Sharing. Stripe for payments, our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider. That is the whole list. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we have never received a government request for it.
Retention. Account data for as long as you have an account, then 90 days. Analytics for 24 months. Billing records for seven years, because tax law requires it.
Your rights. Access, correction, deletion, export, and objection to processing. Email privacy@realinsighthq.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in California, the CCPA rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale apply — we do not sell, so the last one is already satisfied. If you are in the EU or UK, our basis for processing is contract for account data and legitimate interest for analytics, and you may complain to your supervisory authority.
If you appear in the data we publish
We publish information drawn from public records: SEC Form D filings, Form ADV registrations, and news reporting. If you signed a Form D as a related person of an issuer, your name, your role and the issuer's business address appear in a public federal filing, and they appear here too. We do not add anything to that. Specifically, we do not collect or infer home addresses, personal phone numbers, personal email addresses, dates of birth, or any special category data. The addresses and phone numbers we show are the business contact details on the filing.
Our basis for publishing is legitimate interest in making public regulatory filings usable — the same basis on which the filings themselves are public.
If you want a record changed or removed: email privacy@realinsighthq.com with a link to the page. We will act on a correction or a removal request from the person named, or from the firm, within 30 days. Where a filing itself is inaccurate, the durable fix is an amended filing with the SEC; we will note your correction in the meantime.
This is not a consumer report. We are not a consumer reporting agency and this data may not be used to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing. Our terms prohibit it.
