Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of RealInsightHQ. By using the site or the API you agree to them. Read the Disclaimer as well — it is part of these terms and it is the part that matters most.

1. What we provide

Research and data tools built from public records. We provide information, not advice. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser or fiduciary, and no relationship of trust is created by your use of this site.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and API tokens secure. Accounts are for the person or organisation that registered them. Do not share a seat; buy the seats you need.

3. Acceptable use

You may not:

• resell, redistribute or republish bulk data from the site as a competing dataset or product;
• use the data to make eligibility decisions about individuals for credit, insurance, housing, employment or any other purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act — this is not a consumer report and may not be used as one;
• use contact information from the site in a way that breaches anti-spam, telemarketing or securities solicitation rules in your jurisdiction;
• scrape, crawl or circumvent rate limits rather than using the API;
• use the site to harass, defame or target any individual.

On the third point specifically: much of what we publish is drawn from securities filings. Whether you may contact a person about a specific offering depends on the exemption that offering relies on. That is your compliance obligation, not ours, and nothing here should be taken as approval to solicit anyone.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans bill in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods, but if something went wrong on our side, email us and we will make it right rather than pointing at this paragraph.

Prices can change. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before a change affects their renewal.

5. Your data and what you export

Exports are licensed for your and your organisation's internal use. You may use them in your own workflows, CRM and analysis. You may not publish them as a dataset or build a competing product from them.

6. No warranty

The service and all data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. See the Disclaimer for what this means in practice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost investment opportunity, however caused.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

9. Changes

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be emailed to account holders before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts of Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
